Villanova Recruiting Talib Zanna
August 20, 2008
It did not matter if he was suiting up for the DC Blue Devils early in the AAU season, with his high school team, Bishop McNamara, in 'The Rock' summer basketball league, or with the DC Triple Threat to close out the summer AAU circuit, no matter where he was Talib Zanna was impressive and continued to show college basketball coaches he was an improving talent.
Zanna was impressive in the Agent Zero to Hero AAU event, displaying the ability to run the floor, as always, and improved willingness to battle inside and establish post position. His efforts in the event earned him a Agent Zero 17U 1st Team All Tourney honors according to i95ballerz.com.
Zanna finished off a fine summer at the Reebok Summer Championships as his strong and athletic play continued on. He showed a continued preference to attack the basket from a face-up position, but knowing his arsenal is beginning to take shape with a more polished inside game is adding to the intrigue around this quality 2009 prospect and has the high-major schools taking strong interest in him.
"The colleges recruiting me the most are Villanova, Pittsburgh, Providence, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech," Zanna stated. "I am planning to visit some schools soon."
